o Troubled or abnormal breathing
o Bluish skin color
o Lessened intake of water/fluids
o Fever with rash
o Flu-like symptoms recede, but return with fever and worsened cough
What are the warning signs for adults?
o Difficulty in breathing or shortness of breath
o Pain/pressure in chest/abdomen
o Sudden dizziness
o Severe or persistent vomiting
Some Facts
- H1N1 virus spreads from 1 day before the symptoms develop and up to 7 days after infection.
- At present, NO VACCINE is available for Swine Flu.
- Seasonal flu vaccines or past immunizations DO NOT provide protection against the H1N1 virus.
- Please visit a qualified physician if you suspect Swine Flu symptoms. AVOID self-treatment.
- If your doctor suspects Swine Flu, please ask for a written reference (prescription) to conduct tests.
