Mamta announces special monthly pass of Rs.20 for poor whose monthly income is below Rs.500. The pass can be used for a distance of 100 km. Mamta Says she has announced this to give economical freedom to the poor. A special identity card will be given to the people who avail this facility.
Earlier Mamta has tajen charge as Railway Minister from Kolkata instead of Rail Bhavan in Delhi.
Mamta said “It does not mean I will work for West Bengal only because I am taking charge from Kolkata . Its because of the current circumstances that I’m doing so and will work for the betterment of the Railways across India,” she said. Hope next 5 years another golden period for Railways.
