Jai Ho!! AR Rahman Bags 2! Pookutty bags one!

Next to Bhanu Athaiya who in 1982 won the Oscar for best costume design for 'Gandhi', Pookutty& Rehman has taken the pride of walking on Oscar stage.

Including his two nominations this year for Original Song for SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, this is the third Academy Award nomination for A.R. Rahman. This is the first Academy Award for Gulzar.

In his speech AR Rehman dedicated to the nation. He told "எல்லா புகழும் இறைவன் ஒருவனுக்கே!" in tamil (All the credit goes to the almighty). This is the first speech in tamil in Oscar stage. Salutes to AR Rehmans love on country and tamil.

Kate Winslet won the title "Actress in a Leading Role".
